COVID-19 Lockdown : man allegedly commits suicide for not getting liquor

Puducherry, Apr 13 (UNI) A 42-year-old man, for not getting liquor due to lockdown, allegedly committed suicide at Villianur near here on Sunday night.

According to police on Monday, Harikrishnan, a casual labourer was suffering from leg pain and he used to consume liquor to get a sleep in the night.

Because of the lockdown, he could not get liquor. As his leg pain had increased, Harikrishnan allegedly committed suicide by hanging in his house.

Villinaur police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
