Unable to handle depression of losing job during lockdown a 28-year-old committed suicide at Ashok Vihar. The deceased had set him ablaze on June 18 and during treatment, he succumbed on Thursday. Piplani police have registered and started investigation.
According to the police, the deceased Meharbaan Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital after he set himself ablaze on June 18 and later he died during treatment.The family members have claimed that the deceased committed suicide in her room. The reason behind the death was unemployment and financial problems.
The deceased used to work at a factory which was closed in the lockdown and remained closed for the past three months during which his financial condition got worse and he committed suicide.After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Meanwhile, a 26-year-old youth was found dead in Katharia nullah under Kolar police station area on Thursday; youth was missing from June 23, police suspects suspicious death.
After the body was spotted locals informed the police and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased was identified as Monu Chourasia went missing on June 23 but missing compliant was not lodged as the deceased had returned in the past after remaining missing for couple of days. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The deceased used to work as vegetable seller and was a resident of Mandideep.
